To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people only exist, that’s all. – Oscar Wilde. To exist is just to be there just like every other creature (inactive, fixed, dormant, sterile, immobile etc.), but to live is to make out a unique appearance through your existence. To exist is to fashion out your relevance and importance through your actions. It is to stand out for something and be known for it. It is to distinguish yourself by doing things with a touch of ingenuity.
What will you be remembered for in your world after you’ve passed away? There are so many things you can do! There’s a seed of greatness deposited in you to make you distinguished from your equals. Push out what you carry in the inside. It’s time to live before you leave!
Success does not come by chance; it is a carefully articulated exercise repeated day in, day out! Don’t expect to wake up and suddenly achieve academic excellence. It is carefully worked out! It starts with a decision.
Never get discouraged in pursuing your goals. Persistence will always wear out resistance! Just keep pressing on. Someone said: “Don’t give up until you make your last attempt, and don’t make your last attempt until you succeed.” It simply means you should press on till you achieve your goal. Never take ‘No’ as an answer! Nothing is too hard to achieve. Impossibility is only a mental state! What you call impossibility is simply someone’s habitual or occasional act, event or decision. If you can think it, you can accomplish it; because whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
There are three important factors that determine your destiny:
*The people you walk with.
*The books and materials you expose yourself to.
*The environment you live in. These all contribute in shaping your destiny! They’re as important as life itself! I dare to add the fourth which I found out to be even more powerful:
*The words you speak about yourself and your situation. This last one exacts the greatest control.
When you walk with the multitude, you lose your altitude. When you walk with the crowd, you lose your crown. Be wise in your choices, it is what defines who you are. I attribute my success to this: I never gave or took any excuse.- Florence
Nightingale. This is one of the principles that have remained true to every successful man! If you must become successful, excuses must become your waste product. Don’t make them your commodity, except if you want to retail failure! For excuses are the nails used
to build the house of failure.- Uma Ukpai. Pocket those excuses and push out what you have in the inside! Soon the world will celebrate you.
Life’s not measured by duration, but by donation! The old age of Methuselah has nothing to do with the wisdom of Solomon. In life, you will only be remembered for two things: either the problem you created or the one you solved! What is your own contribution to the world? What will you be remembered for? Columbus for America, Bill Gates for Microsoft, Mark Zukerberg for Facebook, Henry Ford for Ford motors, Chizi Daniels for 21st Academic Revolution…
What about you? There is still room for you in the sands of time. Stop wasting time and resources. Step out of that your comfort zone. Wake up and decide today! Don’t die with that potential in you!
When opportunity meets with
preparation, the product is success! How far have you gone with preparing yourself for your
tomorrow? Tomorrow belongs to only those who prepare for it today! To prepare is to pre- plan, to get ready before it happens. How ready are you for your success? Experience has shown that success is less dependent on your ability than on your zeal. You don’t need to be the sharpest or the most brilliant student in class, or the most attentive or retentive to become a genius! What you sure need is an undying zeal for excellence. This is borne out of the determination to succeed despite the confronting
discouragements. Like I will always say: trying and determination can do anything in the world! Now is the time to activate that greatness in the inside.
Your journey to academic excellence will not yet begin until you decide and determine to become the best by simply putting in your best! I’ve realised that truly,
academic excellence is a choice anyone can make! You are not the best simply because you choose not to! The power to become the next genius is in your hands, why not make up your mind now? Do not allow those things that you may not achieve to hinder you from achieving what you actually can! You can be the best academically. Why not try?
If you’ve been applying all you’ve heard and learnt all your life, you wouldn’t be where you are now. ~ Chizi Daniels.
Most of us memorize and recite powerful principles and ideas but never dare to apply or utilise them!
Pls change this mindset folks: in our world today, knowledge is no longer power (cos you can die with it without anyone noticing it) but APPLIED KNOWLEDGE is! The power of application is the MAJOR difference between the genius and the dullard. It’s the application of knowledge that now counts. It’s never late anyway, if you can decide.
When it’s said that something is impossible, all I hear is that that person in particular cannot do it. But if it can be thought, it can be done. There are no impossibilities except those which the mind creates!
Your association is the road map to your destination. It is not where you are but who you walk with that matters. Your association will determine your future location!
You may not be born with a golden spoon but you can buy one if you work hard enough. Do not allow what you can’t do to hinder you from doing what you can! Effort and faith are the price tags to all there is in God’s supermarket.
“We have no choice of what color we’re born or who our parents are or whether we’re rich or poor. What we do have is some choice over what we make of our lives once we’re here”- Mildred Taylor.
You’re not responsible for who your parents are or where you’re born into; but you’re eventual responsible for who you eventually become in life. It’s in your hands!
Most of us spend our time fixing the blame instead of fixing the problem. For this, while others will be recording success, they’ll be busy chanting excuses!
Don’t fix the blame with the same time you should have used to fix the problem. That would be capital folly! You have to do what you can with what you have, where you are.
*Success Mentality* is the mindset of champions and great men! It’s the ability to see possibility even in obscurity and difficulty! It is the *I Can Mentality*. You may never know what you’re capable of achieving until you believe in yourself and begin somewhere. Your success is simply a product of your thought-pattern. Your mindset determines your hindsight which in turn, determines your overall altitude in life. What are you thinking? What can you see? It’s all in you to achieve all you can think and belive if you can begin with determination.
If you fail as a student, you simply chose to fail. “Academic excellence is the product of a tenacious decision that is backed up by positive, repeated actions”. ~ Chizi Daniels. It is something even you can achieve if you can decide. Remember, life will never give you what you deserve, it will only give you what you decide! Anthony Robbins said: “It is your decisions, and not your conditions, that determine your destiny”.
“The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear.” ~ Brian Tracy.
Here’s 3-B principle to success and greatness. It’s what you need to help you actualise your dreams.
B = Behold. What you behold continually impresses in your heart. It dominates your thoughts and directs your action. What you behold often will create a strong impression in your subconscious and this will propel you into:
B = Believe. Yes! What you behold often, you easily believe. What you
believe is almost accomplished if it can be backed up with the right action. Remember the great book says that all things are possible to them that believe. Belief is the key to all possibilities! It will eventually make you:
B = Become. You will become what you behold and believe. Remember the computer principle of GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT? That’s also how our minds function. In the long run, you will ultimately bring out what you have inside. The great patriarch Jacob used this principle and it worked for him! Why not try it?
Finally, don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can! What you can’t do is to ‘wish’ your way into success. What you can do is to ‘work’ your way into success! Don’t wish for what you can have. Wishes are lame, with little or no power. Work it out yourself! Let me help you achieve that height of academic greatness through my Academic coaching courses.
Yours truly motivational,
The Academic Coach.
